Why We Changed the Name

Tilipman Digital started as a solo development shop.

While it was positioned as a design studio, the reality was different — our founder, Evgenii, was primarily delivering development work. As demand grew, so did the scope. We added new services, brought in freelancers, and gradually built out a full-time team across design, development, and SEO.

It worked — and it worked well.

But the brand and the website didn’t evolve at the same pace. To the outside world, we still looked like a development shop — and the numbers reflected it. Around 80% of ARR came from development projects.

The positioning wasn’t wrong. It just didn’t reflect where the business was actually going.

The name problem was separate, and subtler. 

Clients always knew there was a team. What they didn't know was how to deal with Evgenii not being in every room. Sales calls, project management, client relationships, delivery, design, development, finance — the expectation was that he was across all of it, all the time. 

That expectation made sense when the company was built that way. It stopped making sense when the team grew to where handoffs were reliable, the methodology was systematized, and the results were consistent enough that retention did the talking.

The rebrand exists to help our positioning finally match where the company has gone: a team with a process, not a founder with freelancers.

Khod comes from the Russian "ход" — it means a move. A deliberate step forward. The name is new. What it represents isn't.
